Bridal Shower #1 and Bachlorette Party took place this past weekend.  The girls (Binni, Yenvy, Nina, Vivi and Monica) all came in from out of town and joined my local friendss Sharon, Laura, Steph, Jaydee, Wendy and Kristina for a shower on Saturday.  We had Macaroni Grill cater, lots of wine and tons of fun games.  I don’t have all of the photos posted up yet, but they will be soon.

After the shower, we cleaned everything and went out to Adams Morgan for some fun.  We had a really great time and the DJ was playing some really good music.  On Sunday morning, after some much needed rest, we went downtown to enjoy some lunch and cherry blossoms.  The weather was amazing and it seemed like the rest of DC had the same idea since it felt like a million people were out and about on the mall.

This weekend it’s another shower in Miami.  I will post updates after I get back :)

circus tour

Last night my friend Laura and I headed down to the Verizon Center to watch Britney Spears.  Yes, I said Britney Spears…and yes I know that I am also 28 years old.

Part of me went there hoping for something crazy to happen and by crazy I mean Britney Spears having a nervous break down and going cuckoo on stage.  Unfortunately I was disappointed on that end but all in all I really did enjoy the show.  It was really well put together and she did an amazing job (even though there really wasn’t much “real” singing).  I even liked the circus performers that came out and did fun stunts in between sets.  The Pussy Cat dolls were also entertaining…I still don’t know how dancing around in sequined tiny clothes makes you great role models for young girls everywhere but I digress – Kudos to you Ms. Britney Spears, I would say you are well on your way to a great come back.

Ok, I didn’t actually see her because I was stuck working all day but they were filming her new movie “Salt” outside of my office.  The entire area was blocked off and they had production people (probably the newbies) blocking us from getting too close.  I thought maybe Brad would be around but alas my dream didn’t come true.

The invitations have been mailed, the website updated, the vows written and sent to the reverend, the rings picked up, the favors ordered. I can’t believe the wedding is only 82 days away! And I can’t believe it snowed on the 2nd of March!

Here’s what it looked like outside this morning:

Can’t wait to get down to Miami :)
